Floating Traders Terms and Conditions
In the following, ‘we’, ‘our’ and ‘us’ refers to the organisers of the festival.
1. You agree that all the information given on this booking form is correct at the time the entry is submitted. You will advise any changes to us in writing as soon as possible. This entry covers the named craft only, and transfers cannot be made without our written agreement. Refunds will not be made in the event of your cancellation.
2. You confirm that you hold third party insurance to a minimum of £1,000,000 (one million pounds).
3. You agree to abide by all relevant licensing requirements of the Canal & River Trust whilst the craft is moored at the event. This includes displaying the current craft license and satisfying the requirements of the Boat Safety Scheme.
4. You agree not to leave any litter, or cause pollution to the waterway, the towpath, the site or the surrounding area. This includes not discharging any toilets into the waterway, and not leaving excrement from pets on the towpath, site or surrounding area.
5. You agree to not cause a nuisance to other people nearby, whether by excessive noise or any other activity.
6. Mooring pins are to be kept as close to the waterside edge of the towpath as is feasible and are to be clearly marked.
7. You agree to not store any equipment on the towpath or adjacent to it.
8. Engines and generators shall be run to charge electrical systems only at times specified by the harbourmaster.
9. You agree to not invite any news or other media (including television companies) to report or film without our written permission.
10. You agree to not store on your craft or take on site any article of an inflammable or explosive nature (eg fireworks) other than fuel and lubricants as allowed for under the Boat Safety Scheme. This is for public safety. Gas cylinders for cooking and heating etc are allowed.
11. You agree to comply with our directions. Our decision as to the allocation of mooring positions is final. We reserve the right to move any craft from any mooring at any time.
12. You agree not to operate drones or Chinese lanterns.
13. You agree not to change your allocated mooring position without the agreement of the Harbourmaster.
14. You accept that you are responsible at all times and in all places for the conduct of any children or pets attending the event with you.
15. We will not be held responsible for any loss or damage other than that to which we are legally liable as a result of our negligence. You should ensure that you have adequate insurance to cover any accidents or other losses. We will not be liable for any loss due to any act of God, war, fire, flood, drought, tempest or other event beyond our reasonable control.
16. All information provided by you will be stored in accordance with current legislation. We promise not to disclose your information to anyone else.
17. Make sure you arrive with full water tanks and empty toilets. No arrangements are made for water supplies or Elsan disposal for boaters attending the event. There will be rubbish disposal arrangements and facilities on site.
Please Note: A admin Fee of £10.00 is included in the booking fee, and is non refundable.
