Terms and conditions of booking in your boat
In the following, ‘we’, ‘our’ and ‘us’ referees to the organisers of the festival.
1.You agree that all the information given on this booking form is correct at the time the entry is submitted. You will advise any changes to us in writing as soon as possible. This entry covers the named craft only, and transfers cannot be made without our written agreement. Refunds will not be made in the event of your cancellation.
2. We reserve the right to refuse any entry without giving any reason. If you wish to receive an early advice that your entry has been received and accepted, please contact us at support@iwaharborough75.org.
3. You confirm that you will hold third party insurance to a minimum amount of £2,000,000 for at least the period that the craft is to be moored at the event.
4. You agree to abide by all relevant byelaws and licensing requirements of the navigation authority whilst the craft is moored at the event. This includes displaying the correct craft licence and satisfying the requirements of The Boat Safety Scheme.
5. You agree not to leave any litter, or cause pollution to the waterway, the towpath, the site or the surrounding area. This includes not discharging any toilets into the waterway, and not leaving excrement from pets on the towpath, site or surrounding area.
6. You agree not store any equipment on the towpath or adjacent to it, and not to cause any obstruction or nuisance to others, whether by excessive noise or any other activity. Engines should only be run to charge electrical systems at times specified by the Waterspace Manager
7. You agree not to store on your boat any article of an inflammable or explosive character (for example, fireworks) other than fuel and lubricants, as allowed for under the Boat Safety Scheme. This is for everyone’s safety in the unlikely event of a fire.
8. You agree to not cause a nuisance to other people nearby, whether by excessive noise or any other activity.
9. Mooring pins are to be kept as close to the waterside edge of the towpath as is feasible and are to be clearly marked.
10. You agree to not store any equipment on the towpath or adjacent to it. 11. You agree not to undertake any trading whatsoever, including advertising from the boat covered by this entry.
12. You agree to not invite any news or other media (including television companies) to report or film without our written permission.
13. Engines and generators shall be run to charge electrical systems only at times specified by the Harbourmaster
14. You agree not to operate drones or Chinese lanterns.
15. You agree to comply with our directions. Our decision as to the allocation of mooring positions is final. We reserve the right to move any craft from any mooring at any time.
16. You agree not to change your allocated mooring position without the agreement of the Harbourmaster.
17. You accept that you are responsible at all times and in all places for the conduct of any children or pets attending the event with you.
18. We will endeavour to allocate a bank-side mooring if requested.
19. You agree to double-mooring should this be unavoidable.
20. The Organisers will not be held responsible for any loss or damage, other than that to which the Organisers are legally liable because of their negligence. You should ensure that you have adequate insurance to cover any accidents or other losses. The Organisers will not be liable for any default due to any act of God, war, fire, flood, drought, tempest, or other event beyond the reasonable control of the Organisers.
21. All information provided by you will be stored in accordance with current legislation. We promise not to disclose your information to anyone else.
22. Make sure you arrive with full water tanks and empty toilets. No arrangements are made for water supplies or Elsan disposal for boaters attending the event. There will be rubbish disposal arrangements and facilities on site.
23. Plaques available for historic boats for a charge of £10.00.
Please Note A booking admin fee of £10.00 is included in the booking fee, and is non refundable.
