You could make a difference...
The IWA are the only charity that works to protect and restore all Britain’s 7,000 miles of canals and river navigations.
It is possible to walk or boat along many waterways now only because of our early volunteers. Their campaigning and determination transformed derelict waterways into the places we all enjoy today.
From Cornwall’s Bude Canal to the Caledonian Canal – and all the connected and unconnected canals and river navigations in-between – there is much still to be done.
We campaign locally and nationally for the inland waterways. IWA supports restorations, lobbies government, champions regeneration and raises waterways users’ concerns.
Join IWA – your support can make a difference.
The IWA covers ALL UK waterways
We cover all navigations in the UK. It is just not CRT or the EA. We look at other navigations like ANT and the Bridgewater etc.
